Getting started
- Request a free 15-minute phone consultation using the contact form below.
- We talk briefly about what you're looking for, fees, and insurance.
- If we're a good fit, we schedule your first video appointment.
- After our first 2 to 3 sessions, we will review a treatment plan and determine whether you wish to continue working together.
Treatment approach
I take a trauma-informed approach that values and respects your autonomy. I believe in cognitive liberty: the right to make your own choices about your own consciousness.
My work is compassion-focused, shaped by a background in zen Buddhist meditation. My approach to psychotherapy is eclectic. I use behavioral strategies where they help, within a larger depth-based therapy that invites a dive into your innermost patterns and tendencies.
The mind is agile and able to observe itself. The benefit of working with a skilled clinician is that you can entrust me with observing what may not be readily accessible in your everyday awareness. Together we may explore different techniques to deepen your awareness of yourself.
When medication is part of your care, we decide together, weighing benefits, side effects, and your preferences.
It is my belief that with more awareness comes a healthier and more fulfilling life.
Insurance and payment
Insurance
I am currently in network with Aetna, and Moda and PacificSource are coming in 2027. Cash pay is also available if you prefer not to use insurance; please inquire for rates.
Payment
Payment is due at the time of the visit. I accept credit cards, cash, and personal checks.
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” that explains how much your care will cost. Under the law, health care providers must give patients who don't have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the bill for their care.
- You can ask for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a visit. You will also get one when you schedule.
- If you get a bill that is at least $400 more than your estimate, you can dispute the bill. You need to start within 120 days of getting the bill.
- Keep a copy or a picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises (opens in a new tab).
Policies
- Contact between visits
Between visits, calls and messages are for scheduling and prescription refills, and I return them within 2 business days. Everything else we take up in session. Messages are not monitored for urgent needs, and I don't provide after-hours or crisis care.

-
Please give at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Each of these counts as a no-show:

No-shows are charged the full session fee, paid out of pocket.
