Psychiatry, with depth.
We carry our mind wherever we go. It is a gift to explore it.
I'm Aryan Sarparast, a board-certified psychiatrist offering medication treatment and psychotherapy for adults across Oregon by telehealth, and expert consultation for legal teams, clinicians, and organizations.

For patients
Medication treatment and psychotherapy for adults, by secure video anywhere in Oregon. Much of my work is with people seeking to explore their inner depths and connect with their true wisdom.
People I often work with
- Those rebuilding after trauma
- People integrating mystical experiences
- 1st & 2nd generation immigrants living between worlds
- Clinicians and healers who care for others
- Musicians, writers and artists, who experience some things live beyond words
- Students and creatives exploring identity
I understand the privacy concerns of clinicians and public figures. Cash pay is available, and paper charts may be offered if preferred.
On our free 15-minute call, I'll ask what you hope to address and understand about yourself, and whether you're seeking therapy, medications, or both.
Patient services
For legal teams, clinicians & organizations
Psychiatric expertise for complex questions: case and records review, written opinions, medication effects and interactions, and safety planning around altered states of consciousness. I consult for prosecution and defense, especially on drug charges and pharmacology cases; for practitioners of every paradigm; and for public agencies.
Treatment approach
When we greet our emotions kindly, like a visitor in our home, we come to know ourselves better.
I center my work on compassion and curiosity. Awareness, balanced with emotional intelligence, lets us see beyond ourselves, into our relationships, our communities and the world we rely on.

About Dr. Sarparast
I'm a psychiatrist, researcher, and writer, and affiliate faculty at Oregon Health & Science University, where I trained and later taught as an assistant professor. My work spans clinical care, research on medication safety, and state health policy.
I see emotions as signals we can follow deeper into the core self and thus I take a focus on noticing sensations and feelings in my work.
