About
Psychiatrist, scholar, educator, and writer.
I'm a board-certified psychiatrist based in Portland, seeing adults across Oregon by telehealth and consulting for legal teams, clinicians, and public agencies.
I trained in adult psychiatry at Oregon Health & Science University, where I later served as an assistant professor, supervised physicians in training, and founded the OHSU Psilocybin Education & Assessment Collaborative for Excellence (PEACE), a consultation service for patients with complex medical and psychiatric needs seeking state-regulated psilocybin services. I remain OHSU affiliate/volunteer faculty.
Writing has run alongside medicine for me. In medical school I co-founded a medical humanities journal that has continued to publish annually for over 10 years, and I still write poetry and fiction. That attention to story shapes how I listen, along with a long practice of zen meditation.
